NOVEMBER 15, 2010 – The expanded Beit Olam East Cemetary in Wayland, MA was consecrated on November 7th with over 150 people in attendance. R. P. Marzilli & Company constructed the 10 acre cemetary that was designed by Sudbury Design Group and is owned by the Jewish Cemetary Association of Massachusetts (JCAM). The scope of this extensive project included over 700,000 cubic yards of soil displaced and moved on the site. The use of a satellite GPS site survey system ensured the accurate layout of the roads, pathways and all 7,000 burial plots in the new cemetary. The cemetary includes peaceful prayer gardens, mature tree plantings and vast lawns. View a glimpse of the construction process on this video!
