About Us

Beautifully built and maintained landscapes connect us with our natural environment and reflect our personal style in outdoor spaces. Having a trustworthy, capable partner in the construction and maintenance process makes it even more enjoyable.

Since 1985, R. P. Marzilli has delivered the highest quality and best value for our clients across New England, proving our expertise and extensive skills by completing landscape projects of all scopes and sizes.

We partner with design professionals, homeowners and contractors to bring their vision to life with exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Our full service capabilities include consultation, complete site preparation, planting, masonry, landscape lighting, irrigation, pools and water features. We also provide masonry for interior projects such as wine cellars, fireplaces and architectural stone work.

Our landscape maintenance team is dedicated to the daily beauty and long term integrity of the landscape. In 2020 we grew our capabilities with the acquisition of Botanica Land Care, our division specializing in ecological land care and the design and cultivation of edible gardens.

Our projects are built on country estates, oceanfront bluffs, suburban gardens, city courtyards, and public landscapes. We are proud to build these outdoor extensions of “home”.

OUR HISTORY

How We Started

Bob Marzilli’s passion for building landscapes began at a very young age working with his grandfather, father, and uncles in the family’s landscape maintenance business. Bob learned from his family the values of trusted relationships, customer service and quality workmanship.

He worked his way through college at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture and the University of Massachusetts Amherst earning degrees in Landscape Construction and Landscape Architecture. The education and experience at UMass Amherst revealed the great potential of the landscape industry and Bob’s dream of developing the most respected landscape construction company in New England was born.

In 1985, Bob struck out on his own with a handwritten list of goals (we still have the note), one truck, one trailer, one skidsteer and the support of his wife, Christine.

Our Outreach

Our company is a strong supporter of education and the landscape industry. The R. P. Marzilli & Company Scholarship is awarded through the National Association of Landscape Professionals Foundation. Each year this scholarship provides financial assistance to promising students enrolled in landscape contracting and/or horticultural programs at two-year or four-year colleges and universities who intend to pursue their future career in the landscape industry.

The RPM team enthusiastically supports our community by sharing our resources and goodwill. We regularly assist local organizations focused on access to food, housing, school programs and healthcare. The kindness and generosity of our people inspires us to gather together to help people in need and this, in turn, has the added benefit of bringing our people closer together by doing good.
